Blow Molding Supervisor – Fargo, North Dakota

Description
A plastic custom bottle blow molding company that has continued to do well, in spite of the downturn in the economy, is searching for a Third Shift Supervisor. The Third Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading a group of four operators and is also responsible for machine maintenance on the third shift. This is a very hands on position where the third shift supervisor must wear many hats.

In addition to a hourly wage in the $16 to $20 per hour range, the company offers competitive health care, a 401k with company matching up to 3%, profit sharing of up to 12%, and relocation assistance, if required.

Requirements
Must have blow molding production supervisory as well as blow molding equipment maintenance experience. Extrusion blow molding experience is preferred.

The company wants someone from the Minnesota/North or South Dakota area or at least very strong ties to the area.

A Technical Degree

Familiarity with hot runner designs is also required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure molds are built to stringent internal standards while achieving bottom line performance target.

• Recommend and implement continuous improvement and strategic initiatives.
• Manage direct reports and assure that company policy is adhered to and performance objectives are attained.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with multi-cavity high precision, conventional, multi-shot, and insert molds.
• BS in an engineering related field is preferred. A minimum of 10-years experience in hands-on management, preferably injection mold making.
• Strong background in ISO, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing.
• Excellent teamwork, communications skills and professional appearance.
• Strong working knowledge of CAD-CAM (UG preferred), and MS Office.
